Technical Requirements for Coruson
Who is this article for?Users who are accessing Coruson on a browser, a Windows device or a mobile device.
No specific permissions are required.
Coruson is a web-based system and is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and as such has a scalable cloud architecture that can be extended without limits to a large audience across the globe. Coruson also has a suite of apps available designed to enhance the Coruson experience. These apps provide access on mobile devices. This article will walk through the minimum technical requirements to run Coruson, including supported web browsers and devices.
1. Access Through a Web Browser
There are no minimum hardware requirements or additional prerequisite pieces of software needed to access Coruson through a web browser. All that is required is a device with a consistent Internet connection which can run a web browser. As Coruson is a web application, all the processing is done server-side.
We support most modern web browsers released in the last 5 years but do recommend that the browser of choice is updated to the latest version so that all security updates have been applied before accessing Coruson. Some of the browsers supported are listed below.
- Microsoft Edge (Legacy & Chromium based)
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Opera (Standard & GX)
- Apple Safari
Note: For the best experience, we would recommend accessing the web-based version of Coruson on a desktop or laptop computer running Windows, MacOS or Linux rather than a portable device such as an iPad as we have specific apps designed for these devices.
2. Android and iOS Apps
There is a mobile version of Coruson which is available to both Android and iOS devices. The mobile application differs from the web-based version of Coruson. All major Coruson modules are available from within the app including Audits, Reporting and Documents. More information on the capabilities of these modules within the mobile app can be found below.

These applications are available directly from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store or from your enterprise distribution service.
