Who is this article for?Users Apple iPhone and iPad users of the Coruson Application.
No specific permissions are required.
Apple devices store information detailing what the device was doing when an app prematurely shuts down (i.e. crashes). These are called Analytic Logs and can be viewed and shared by the user of the device. It is useful to study these logs in order to find the root cause of the crash.
This article will provide step by step instructions on how to find and share these logs with either your Coruson administrator, your mobile device manager, or the Coruson Support Team. It does not provide guidance on analysing the logs themselves and instead focuses on locating the log relevant to your crash so that you can share this with a expert who can assist in resolving the problem.
This article is split into 3 sections so that you can either walk through the steps in sequence or you can jump to the section relevant to what you are doing in Coruson:
1. Find the Log
All analytic logs are accessible from the device settings. The analytic logs hold crash reports for all apps and processes (not just Coruson). The log title is made up of the app name and the date/time the log was created in order to make it easier to find.
How to do it:
- Go to the Device Settings.
- Scroll to the Privacy section.
- Swipe to the bottom of the list and tap Analytics & Improvements.
- Tap Analytics Data.
- Review the list displayed.
- Locate the errors that start with "Coruson" and find the log that matches the date/time or your crash.
- Tap the log to open it.
2. Share the Log
Once you have located the log that corresponds to your crash you can share this with the appropriate person.
How to do it:
- Tap the send button at the top right hand corner of the log.
- Select your method of sharing. Some common selections include:
Send to a contact via Messages
Airdrop to a secure location
Email the log to a contact or email via Mail
Save to Files
Save to another app
- Tap the relevant option.
Note: The options for sharing the log will vary depending on what apps you have installed on your device.
