Best Practice Recommendations
To make your experience with the Coruson app as flawless as possible we recommend:
- Use the Latest Operating System for the device: as many issues are resolved and new features added.
- A reasonable amount of available memory to allow storage of Reports and App operation. - (this will vary depending upon device, see manufacturers recommendations). - how to check memory
- Ensuring that the Mobile device and App are closed or switched off at regular intervals: all devices are different this will release memory and clear caches,
- Strong Battery Life - some devices restrict performance when Battery levels are low
- Always have the latest version of the Coruson App installed- as many issues are resolved and new features added. - use the devices app store to check or latest available from your organisation.
- Not using a VPN to connect: this can interfere with data sent/received.
- Strong reliable connectivity via WIFI or Cellular, while uploading: to ensure data is transferred successfully, often busy airport location, such a staff room can't cope with large data volumes.
- App Synced before Report created and submitted: this is critical, that before using the App it is synced, as the not using the latest Forms will cause malfunctions.
- App Synced after submission: this ensures that outbox is cleared in-conjunction with a reliable strong connection.
- App and mobile open when attempting to upload: uploads are done in one location and the App and Phone is live while using.
- No reserved characters used in Report name or key details: reserved character can be /,\,:,*,",<,> | & !. see reserved character section.
- Only copy and paste from a clean formatted source: - as invalid, background characters and spaces can be copied.
- Remove and Reinstall the APP then re-input and submit the Report - (if all else fails and the Report is not on the system, start over, removing the App will clear all corruptions).
Reserved Characters
A reserved character is a letter or symbol that cannot be used because it is being utilised in another location or by the operating system. For example, many operating systems reserve the following characters: "\, /, :, *, ?, ", <, >, and |" and disallow these characters from being used when saving or renaming a file.
