Downloading the App
To get started with Coruson Mobile, navigate to the App Store of choice supported by the device. Using the search functionality, look for 'Coruson' and select the app simply titled Coruson. Use the buttons provided within your chosen App Store to install the app to your device.
To find out the minimum requirements needed to run these apps, please click the link to the following article - What are the Minimum Requirements to Use Coruson?
Direct links to each of the app store pages can be found by clicking the following buttons.
Important: As of version 3.1.0 of Coruson Mobile, 32-bit devices are no longer supported. This mainly will affect iOS and Android devices made in 2013 or earlier. All Windows devices capable of running Windows 10 are already 64-bit and will not be affected by this change.
Set-Up the App for First Time Use
Sharing Analytics
When opening the app on the device for the first time, a message will be displayed asking if the device can have permission to submit anonymous data from the app to assist in the proactive finding and resolution of crashes and errors by our mobile development team.
We recommend that this is set to Allow to help our team make the app better in the future. If this is something you would not be comfortable in sharing, then select the Don't Allow button.
Setting the Tenant Name
Next, a prompt will appear asking for a Tenant Name. Enter the Tenant name as it is displayed without the full URL which you would normally use to access Coruson from a web browser.
If, for example, the tenant URL was https://example.gaelenlighten.com, then the tenant name to be entered into the app would simply be 'example' as can be seen below.
Note: If the tenant being logged into has gaelcloud.com or coruson.com within the URL then the tenant name will need to include this extension. For example, https://example.coruson.com should be added to the field as example.coruson.com, otherwise the app will not recognise the tenant.
Logging Into the App
Once the tenant name has been entered, the app will prompt the user to input their Username and Password. These fields are for customers who do not use Single Sign-On (SSO) to sign into the app.
If the tenant name was entered incorrectly, do not worry. On this page there is a 'cog' icon to the bottom left of the screen will allow the user to go back to this step and change the tenant name that was entered.
Additionally, there is a toggle for Remember Me which will keep the last successful login details stored securely within the app so that users can use the app offline. We recommend not to use this toggle if the device being used is shared amoungst multiple users.
Important: If the tenant has been set up to use Single Sign-On (SSO) then users will be unable to use the Username and Password fields. Instead, an additional button will appear that users should click in order to sign in with their configured external provider.
Syncing and Navigating the App
Once you have successfully logged into the app, a sync will be initiated. The sync pulls all of the required information from the Coruson servers so that the application can be used offline. As this is the first sync, the time it takes to complete will be longer than subsequent syncs. This also is dependent on how much data is stored on the tenant being signed into.
When the app has finished it's initial sync, users will be brought to the home screen and will now have full access to the Coruson Mobile App. The home page will contain a list of Draft reports, Audits in Progress and any Documents Outstanding for acknowledgement.
Selecting the 'burger' menu at the top left of the screen will open the navigation menu from the left. This will present a number of options to the user for accessing the Reporting, Audit and Documents modules. There will also be an option for Sync, Settings and to logout of the app.
We would recommend going to the Sync section of the app if this the first use. Within this area, the time period in which the app will automatically sync with the Coruson servers can be set. This can be anytime from 15 to 60 minute cycles. This area will also detail any recent Local or Remote changes.
