IOSA (Enhanced IATA Operational Safety Audit) is an international programme designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline.
This article outlines:
- Coruson ISOA capabilities
- IOSA Checklist
- Ideagen Checklist Management Service
- Self-Management of Checklists
- Configuring the Area of Standard for IOSA
- Generating the Audit Conformance Report
1. Coruson ISOA capabilities
Coruson can be used to manage IOSA via the audit module:
- Using the IOSA checklists in your Coruson Audit module
- Configuring an Area of Standard to match the IOSA requirements
- Generating an Audit Conformance Report to confirm that all areas of the standard have been audited
2. IOSA Checklist
Ideagen has developed a Coruson checklist that can be imported into the Coruson system for use as an Audit checklist. This checklist covers all of the requirements up to and including the 12th edition IOSA checklist.
There are two options to have this implemented in your Coruson system:
- Ideagen can manage the import of IOSA checklists (NOTE: This is a chargeable service).
- Your Coruson administrator can manage the import of IOSA checklists.
3. Ideagen Checklist Management Service
If you choose to purchase the Ideagen Checklist Management Service then one of our IOSA data experts will perform a review of your configuration with a view to:
- Archive any existing Area of Standards that have been manually created to match the IOSA standard
- Import the IOSA Area of Standard that is required
4. Self-Management of Checklists
If you choose to manage the import of the checklist yourself you will be required to:
- Review your Area of Standard configuration. This must match the exact Area of Standard defined in IOSA.
- Make any changes to your Area of Standard.
- Download the IOSA checklist files from Ideagen.
- Use the import tool within Coruson to perform the import.
- Review the new configuration in line with your audit schedule and reporting forms.
5. Configuring the Area of Standard for IOSA
It is essential that the IOSA Area of Standard referenced in the checklists match exactly with the clauses included in the Coruson Standards section. If there is a discrepancy between these two values, no matter how small, this may cause duplicate values or a mis-match between standards you have manually entered.
To prevent this, any existing IOSA Standards will be archived. When the checklist is imported, a new Standard will be added to Coruson automatically with the correct values for the Audit Checklist.
6. Generating the Audit Conformance Report
An audit conformance report is used to demonstrate compliance with an area of standard by proving that relevant areas of the standard have been reviewed, audited and any action taken to prevent non-conformance.
