This article explains how to configure permissions associated with specific roles that users may assume within Ideagen Aviation Safety.

1. Accessing the Dynamic Roles menu

To begin configuring dynamic role permissions, you must first navigate to the appropriate menu within Ideagen Aviation Safety.

1. Log into Ideagen Aviation Safety as a System Wide Administrator.
2. Click the menu icon located to the left of the Ideagen Aviation Safetylogo to open the left side panel.
3. Navigate to:
   1. Administration
   2. People & Security
   3. Dynamic Roles

2. Selecting the dynamic role type

Once you have accessed the Dynamic Roles menu, you can select the specific type of role you wish to configure.

1. Locate the Report option in the filters area.
2. Select the type of Dynamic Role to be configured from the drop-down menu.

3. Configuring report permissions

After selecting your dynamic role type, you can adjust the specific permissions associated with that role.

1. Add a Permission Set to a Dynamic Role.
2. Click on the report title of that Permission Set to load the configuration interface.
3. To modify a permission, change report owner, or change report task owner, toggle the setting to yes.

4. Disabling ownership transfer permissions

If a user requests the option to transfer ownership to be disabled, follow these steps to remove that permission.

1. Search for and select the Report Task owner role.
2. Search for and select the Report task owner role.
3. Toggle the settings to disable the permission that allows for the transfer of ownership.
