How to Add and Remove Workflows on a Report
Who is this article for?Users who are completing a workflow.
Permissions to edit and complete workflows on Document, Reporting or Audit records.
Workflows are central to how Ideagen Coruson works, with different workflows available in each module. While working on a Coruson record you may want to add additional workflows which include different tasks for a different area of the business.
Example: You may have a workflow designed to investigate an injury reported which focuses on the physical condition of the individual involved and you can have another workflow focused on assessing the business risk posed by the event. Both workflows can be worked on at the same time (usually by different groups of people).
This article is split into 3 sections to make managing multiple workflows easier to understand. You can either walk through the steps in sequence or you can jump to the section relevant to what you are doing in Coruson:
- Add a Workflow
- Remove a Workflow
- Further Reading
Reminder: This article covers all workflow options. Some options are only available in the Reporting module as they are specific to reporting activities.
1. Add a Workflow
Adding a workflow is easy and can be done within the Workflow tab on a record.
Note: On report record you can only add workflows that have been made available via the form design configuration. If you need information on how to do this then please refer to the Administration help articles.
How to do it:
- Go to the Workflow tab.
- Click on the Add icon on the Workflows panel.
- Select the desired workflow. The page will refresh with the new workflow assigned.
Note: There is no limit to the number of workflows you can add but it is important to remember that a record cannot be closed until all stages and tasks have been completed.
2. Remove a Workflow
Removing a workflow can be done in the same way as starting a workflow.
How to do it:
- Click the action menu icon and select Remove
- Confirm the removal by pressing the Remove button when prompted.
Important: When a workflow is removed all of the data contained within it is also removed. This cannot be undone.
